UAE to witness light rain and active winds on Sunday morning

According to the National Centre of Meteorology, the country is presently under the influence of an upper atmospheric high-pressure extension, together with a high-pressure system extending from the east and a low-pressure system spreading from the west.

The weather for today is expected to be sunny to partly overcast, with sporadic dustiness and low clouds in the eastern areas.

It is predicted that there will be light to moderate winds, which may periodically pick up during the day and cause dusty conditions. It is expected that the Arabian Gulf will see mild to moderate waves, while the Sea of Oman will see light waves.

There's a possibility of light rain on Sunday morning. Wind directions are expected to shift from southeasterly to northeasterly, starting light to moderate but gradually intensifying to become active northwesterly winds over the sea by late night until Sunday morning.

Wind speeds will range from 10 to 25 km/h, reaching up to 40 km/h over the sea, where waves will be light to moderate, turning turbulent by the end of the night until Sunday morning in the Arabian Gulf, and light waves in the Sea of Oman.

Sunday's weather outlook suggests fair to partly cloudy conditions, occasionally cloudy in the northern regions, with noticeable temperature drops. Winds will be northwesterly, moderate to active, stirring up dust and reducing horizontal visibility, especially at sea. Wind speeds will range from 20 to 30 km/h, reaching up to 50 km/h over the sea, resulting in turbulent to very turbulent conditions in the Arabian Gulf and turbulent waves in the Sea of Oman.

Looking ahead to Monday, weather conditions are expected to remain generally fair to partly cloudy, with northwesterly winds maintaining their moderate to active strength, causing dust and reduced visibility, particularly at sea. Wind speeds will range from 20 to 30 km/h, reaching up to 50 km/h over the sea, with turbulent to very turbulent conditions expected in the Arabian Gulf and turbulent conditions in the Sea of Oman.
