UAE Police Seize Vehicles in Umm Al Quwain Crackdown on Reckless Racing

Recently, in Fujairah, law enforcement officials apprehended several motorists for engaging in reckless driving and illegal street racing, culminating in a traffic collision. Following the incident in the Al Sodah region, thorough investigations by the Traffic and Patrol Administration identified the individuals responsible for the reckless racing. Surveillance footage revealed a vehicle losing control, veering off the road, spinning, and colliding with a rail barrier.
Promptly responding to the dissemination of videos capturing the events, authorities swiftly located and arrested the perpetrators. In the UAE, reckless driving and endangering the lives of others constitute grave offenses. Offenders face severe penalties, including a hefty fine of Dh2,000, along with the imposition of 23 black points on their driving record and the impoundment of their vehicle for a duration of 60 days.
