UAE Offers 50% Discount on Property Registration Fees for Buyers in Sharjah
This month in Sharjah, prospective property purchasers and investors are in for a pleasant surprise, as the Real Estate Registration Department and the Sharjah Chamber of Commerce and Industry jointly declare a substantial 50% reduction on registration charges.
50% Discount on Registration Fees
This enticing offer is exclusively available to those making property purchases at the upcoming Sharjah Real Estate Exhibition—Acres 2024, scheduled from January 17 to 20 at Expo Centre Sharjah.
Strategic Decision to Support Growth
Abdulaziz Ahmed Al Shamsi, the director-general of the Sharjah Real Estate Registration Department, affirms that this discount is part of a strategic initiative to support the flourishing real estate sector. He emphasizes that Sharjah is witnessing a surge in population due to increased investments and capital attraction. To cater to the rising demand for residential units, the Sharjah Executive Council implemented Resolution No. 30 in November 2022, allowing all nationalities to own various types of real estate upon approval.
Reduced Fees to Stimulate Transactions
The Sharjah Executive Council has approved lower costs for buying and selling real estate at the Acres 2024 expo. Developers of real estate will be greatly incentivized by the low selling fees of just 0.5%. During the exhibition, individuals from the UAE and GCC countries may take advantage of a 1% discount on purchases, while other nationalities can enjoy a tempting 2% discount.
An Expansive Showcase of Projects
The exhibition is set to feature an impressive display of over 372 new real estate projects from countries such as the UAE, Oman, Jordan, Georgia, Egypt, and Turkey. Major real estate developers will take the stage to present their offerings and engage with potential investors. The exhibition space has increased by 60% compared to the previous year, demonstrating the rising interest and demand in the real estate industry.
Insights and Industry Dialogues
In addition to the property showcase, the event will host panel discussions, workshops, and specialized industry talks in both Arabic and English. Industry experts and market leaders will share their insights, providing valuable information to attendees. This multifaceted approach aims to not only facilitate property transactions but also foster knowledge exchange and networking opportunities within the real estate community.
