UAE: Mothers Endowment Campaign unveils collecting this amount in one week
The "Mother’s Endowment" initiative, spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, was launched during Ramadan.
Its primary objective was to honor mothers by establishing a one-billion-dirham endowment fund aimed at supporting education, with the ambitious goal of benefiting millions of individuals. The campaign swiftly garnered global attention, resulting in contributions totaling 505 million dirhams within just a week of its inception.
The success of the initiative can be attributed to the widespread support from various stakeholders, including major shareholders, businessmen, individuals, companies, and both governmental and private institutions. This overwhelming response underscores the deep-rooted culture of philanthropy within Emirati society, highlighting a collective commitment to empowering disadvantaged individuals and communities. By providing educational opportunities and fostering skill development, the campaign aims to enhance the quality of life for beneficiaries, ultimately contributing to societal stability and fostering growth across various sectors.
Mohammed Abdullah Al Gergawi, Secretary-General of the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, emphasized the campaign's alignment with Sheikh Mohammed's vision of perpetuating goodness and leveraging the foundation's resources to support marginalized groups worldwide. He underscored the urgency of addressing the plight of millions of children and youth facing barriers to education, affirming the campaign's role in offering them hope and prospects for a better future.

By enabling contributions in mothers' honor, the Mother's Endowment Campaign, run by the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation, aims to raise awareness among mothers. The objective is to foster principles of filial piety, compassion, and solidarity among society's members while providing sustainable educational projects to benefit impoverished communities.
