UAE Charity Auction reveals raising Dh78.3 million for Mother Endowment Campaign
Abu Dhabi Police, in partnership with Emirates Auction, organized an online charity event titled "The Most Noble Numbers," generating over Dh78.3 million for the Mothers' Endowment campaign.
Led by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, this initiative seeks to create a Dh1 billion endowment fund to offer sustained educational assistance to millions globally.
The auction showcased a collection of 555 license plates for regular vehicles registered in Abu Dhabi, featuring a diverse array of unique car numbers, including coveted combinations like 80, 111, and 14. Alongside these, a special assortment of plate numbers tailored for motorcycles and classic cars was also on offer, adding to the auction's appeal.
A large number of people attended the ceremony, including corporations and well-known benefactors who pledged their support for the Mothers' Endowment campaign. The Commander-in-Chief of the Abu Dhabi Police, Faris Khalaf Al Mazrouei, highlighted the dedication of UAE society to promoting social cohesion and solidarity through providing assistance to marginalized communities. He emphasized that the auction's success was proof of the UAE culture's deeply rooted ideals of compassion and philanthropy.
The proceeds generated from the charity auction will play a pivotal role in advancing the objectives of the Mothers’ Endowment campaign. This initiative aims to honor mothers and expand educational opportunities for millions in underserved communities. Abdullah Matar Al Mannai, Chairman and Managing Director of Emirates Auction, lauded the humanitarian engagement witnessed during the auction, describing it as a remarkable display of philanthropy.
He commended the swift support extended by humanitarian leaders and benefactors towards the Mother’s Endowment campaign, emphasizing the UAE's dedication to philanthropy and social responsibility.
