UAE authority announces its full readiness to deal with inclement weather
Everyone should be careful, observe all safety regulations, and lock their cars according to what the authorities say.
The National Emergency, Crisis, and Disaster Management Authority (NCEMA), in collaboration with pertinent authorities, has affirmed its full readiness and preparedness to address the current low-pressure weather system affecting the UAE.
This assurance follows a series of meetings involving representatives from the Ministry of Interior, the National Centre of Meteorology, and other relevant government entities, as stated by NCEMA today.
NCEMA has issued a call to the public, urging them to exercise caution and adhere to safety protocols outlined by authorities. It emphasizes the importance of following instructions provided by relevant authorities to ensure the safety of individuals and their vehicles. Particularly in regions expected to experience heavy rainfall and hail, caution is advised. Moreover, individuals are advised to steer clear of watercourses and flood-prone areas, as well as rugged terrain such as mountains.
In response to the current weather conditions, NCEMA underscores the significance of proactive measures to mitigate potential risks and ensure the safety of individuals and property. By heeding safety guidelines and directives from authorities, the public can play a pivotal role in safeguarding themselves and their surroundings during adverse weather events.
NCEMA's proactive stance, coupled with effective coordination among government agencies, underscores the UAE's commitment to prioritizing public safety and disaster preparedness. As the nation braces for inclement weather, collaborative efforts between NCEMA and relevant authorities aim to enhance resilience and mitigate potential risks, ensuring the well-being of citizens and residents across the country.
