UAE introduces 90-day visa-free travel agreement with European nation
By means of an official memorandum of understanding, passport-holding citizens of the Republic of Kosovo and the United Arab Emirates are reciprocally granted visa exemptions.
UAE-Kosovo Visa Exemption Agreement
Citizens of Kosovo who have ordinary, diplomatic, special, or mission passports are no longer need to get a visa to enter the United Arab Emirates (UAE) according to a recently signed memorandum of understanding (MoU). Under this bilateral agreement, nationals of the United Arab Emirates who possess passports that are valid for a minimum of six months can visit Kosovo visa-free and remain for a maximum of ninety days on each visit.
Visa Exemption Details
In reciprocity, citizens of Kosovo holding valid diplomatic, official, and ordinary passports are also exempted from the visa requirement for entry into the UAE. This development aims to facilitate easier travel between the two nations, fostering stronger ties and collaboration across various domains.
The signing of the MoU was met with approval and enthusiasm from both sides. Sheikh Abdullah bin Zayed Al Nahyan, the UAE's Minister of Foreign Affairs, and Donika Gërvalla-Schwarz, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Foreign Affairs of Kosovo, emphasized the significance of this agreement during a telephone call. They underscored its role in enhancing bilateral relations and serving the shared interests of the two countries and their respective populations.
Khaled Abdullah Belhoul, Undersecretary of the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, represented the UAE in signing the MoU, while Xhabir Hamiti, the Ambassador of Kosovo to the United Arab Emirates, signed on behalf of Kosovo. This move reflects the commitment to strengthening diplomatic ties, promoting economic cooperation, fostering cultural exchanges, and encouraging educational collaboration between the UAE and Kosovo.
The MoU is not only a step toward facilitating smoother travel but also a broader effort to deepen collaboration across political, economic, cultural, and educational realms. It symbolizes the shared commitment to mutual growth and understanding between the UAE and Kosovo.
