Sharjah Authority announces Ramadan timings for government employees
The Human Resources Authority in Sharjah has released the updated working schedule for government entities in anticipation of the forthcoming holy month of Ramadan.
The official announcement delineates the designated working hours applicable to government departments, institutions, and related bodies within the emirate.
In alignment with the anticipated commencement of Ramadan, as per the Hijri calendar published by the Dubai Islamic Affairs and Charitable Activities Department (IACAD), scheduled to potentially commence on Tuesday, March 12, 2024, the government of Sharjah has enacted specific adjustments to accommodate this sacred period.
During Ramadan, government sector employees are mandated to adhere to revised working hours, spanning from 9:00 a.m. to 2:30 p.m. This adjusted timetable is uniformly applicable to all personnel, irrespective of fasting obligations, thereby facilitating their engagement in spiritual observances and cultural engagements synonymous with the holy month.
