Etihad Airways has announced an expansion of its services to Rome, with plans to operate double-daily flights between Abu Dhabi Zayed International Airport (AUH) and Rome Fiumicino Airport (FCO) starting November 1, 2024. This move comes in response to increased demand from customers seeking travel between the UAE and Italy's capital city.

He highlighted the advantageous departure times and competitive fares, emphasizing the airline's commitment to meeting the needs of travelers and facilitating travel between Abu Dhabi and Rome.

The expanded flight schedule not only benefits travelers to Rome but also offers increased flexibility for those arriving in Abu Dhabi, allowing them more opportunities to explore the attractions of the city for both business and leisure purposes. This move underscores Etihad's dedication to attracting more visitors to Abu Dhabi and strengthening its global connectivity.

With the introduction of double-daily flights, Etihad Airways will significantly increase its seat capacity on the Abu Dhabi-Rome route, offering nearly 10,000 seats per week. This represents a substantial year-on-year capacity growth of 22%, demonstrating the airline's commitment to meeting the rising demand for travel between the two destinations.

The flights will be operated using a combination of Boeing 787-9 and Boeing 777-300 aircraft from Etihad's modern wide-body fleet, known for its exceptional cabin service. Passengers will have access to Etihad's Wi-Fly service, which offers complimentary chat packages for Etihad Guest members and the option to purchase full Surf packages for unlimited data during the flight.
