Emirates Islamic Bank introduces this amount for the Mother Endowment Fund
Emirates Islamic Bank has allocated five million dirhams to back the “Mother’s Endowment” initiative spearheaded by His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, in sync with Ramadan.
This initiative aims to pay homage to mothers through the establishment of a one-billion-dirham endowment fund, destined to support the education of millions in underprivileged communities worldwide.
The bank's contribution aligns with the philanthropic spirit that has characterized the campaign since its inception. The endeavor has garnered substantial support from individuals, institutions, private sector entities, and the business community, all committed to fostering education and knowledge dissemination among less privileged populations. Hisham Abdullah Al Qassim, Chairman of Emirates Islamic's Board of Directors, lauded the campaign as a pivotal addition to the UAE's charitable landscape. He emphasized its focus on mobilizing efforts to establish an endowment fund dedicated to sustainable education, noting that the campaign's inclusivity underscores the nation's exemplary generosity and commitment to aiding the less fortunate.
In honoring maternal compassion, Al Qassim emphasized the bank's delight in its partnership with the Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives Foundation. He emphasized the value of Emirates Islamic's commitment to the creation of an endowment fund with a focus on education, stressing the critical role that education plays in the advancement of society and the empowerment of coming generations. By allowing people to make donations in their mothers' names, the "Mother Endowment" campaign seeks to commemorate mothers. It aims to sustainably assist underprivileged communities' educational needs in order to improve their standard of living, stability, and readiness for both the current and next labor markets.
