Emirates Foundation announces makeup exams for school grades on these dates
Starting tomorrow, Monday, the Emirates Foundation for School Education has approved the start of makeup tests for grades three through twelve.
These tests are designed for children who attend public and private schools that follow the curriculum set forth by the Ministry of Education. These tests, which have a March 29 deadline, are designed to accommodate different learning paths. The purpose of the makeup exams, which use data from the "IDH" platform, is to provide students who missed their second-semester exams for legitimate reasons or who experienced technical difficulties during their assessments.
For students in third and fourth grades, makeup exams are conducted on paper, requiring physical attendance at school. Similarly, fifth- and ninth-grade students in government schools undertake paper-based exams on-site. Private school students in the general and advanced tracks in grades five and nine face a blend of paper and electronic exams, necessitating physical presence. Additionally, 12th-grade students tackle an English language exam that encompasses both written and electronic components.
Emphasizing adherence to school uniform protocols and ensuring fully charged computers, the Foundation underscores the mixed format of paper and electronic exams tailored to subject and grade levels for grades five through 12. These assessments mandate physical attendance for students across public and private schools following the Ministry of Education’s curriculum.
Exams for 12th graders enrolled in private schools are, interestingly, administered in public schools while being jointly supervised and coordinated with school branch coordinators. Students in the 12th grade start their exam schedule with two periods of math and social studies exams. The written portion of the mathematics exam begins at 9 a.m. and ends at 10:30 a.m., with the electronic portion following from 10:30 a.m. to 11:30 a.m. The social studies exam then takes place from 12 to 2 p.m.
Subsequent days see students tackling English language and health sciences exams, with elite students also facing biology assessments. Physics exams follow on March 27, with Arabic language and chemistry/biology exams scheduled for March 28. The exam period culminates on March 29 with Islamic Education assessments.
