Dubai Chambers records the largest number of new members
The Dubai Chamber of Commerce has welcomed 67,222 new members in the last year, according to a recent announcement from Dubai Chambers.
This impressive yearly growth rate of 20% is the highest in the chamber's history. The Chamber now has 217,788 active members, representing a 26.8% yearly growth as a result of this surge. Furthermore, the overall value of the chamber members' exports and reexports came to 284.5 billion dirhams, a 4.3% rise from the year before.
These revelations were made during the annual media briefing to unveil the performance results of Dubai Chambers and its affiliated chambers, namely the Dubai International Chamber and the Dubai Chamber for Digital Economy.
The Dubai Foreign Chamber has had remarkable success, with 138 new businesses, including 34 foreign corporations, and an incredible 580% yearly growth rate. Furthermore, the chamber welcomed 104 small and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs), exhibiting a remarkable annual growth rate of 550%. Furthermore, the Chamber has facilitated the global expansion of 77 Dubai-based companies, amounting to an astounding 756% growth rate. The Chamber expanded its global reach even further in 2023 when it opened 16 more international offices, bringing its total to 31 external operations.
In the meantime, the Dubai Chamber for Digital Economy persisted in its endeavours to strengthen the digital economy of the emirate, drawing in 549 up-and-coming tech companies in addition to nine global digital corporations, yielding an astounding 916% annual growth rate. In addition, the Chamber managed the "Apply in Dubai" campaign, introduced a company help website, and organised the "Expand North Star" show. It also released six research studies and publications on the digital economy.
The Chairman of Dubai Chambers' Board of Directors, Abdulaziz Al Ghurair, stressed the Chamber's dedication to bolstering the competitiveness of the business community and serving its members at the media session. He emphasised that Dubai Chambers continues to place a high premium on the private sector, in line with the objectives of the Dubai Economic Agenda (D33).
Furthermore, Dubai Chambers' accomplishments emphasise how crucial a role it plays in furthering Dubai's economic agenda and boosting its standing as a desirable location for investments worldwide. Dubai Chambers' Director General, Mohammed Ali Rashid Lootah, reaffirmed the group's commitment to promoting economic expansion and advancing the interests of its members and the business community.
