From April 8 to April 14, parking in public spaces will be free of charge, according to the Integrated Transport Centre of Abu Dhabi. With this temporary solution, we want to improve traffic flow and reduce parking issues over the holidays.

Regular paid parking will resume on Monday, April 15, ensuring a smooth transition back to normal parking regulations. Additionally, to further enhance accessibility during the holiday, tolls at Darb toll gates will be waived from April 8 to April 14. This initiative aims to encourage travel and ease the financial burden on commuters during the Eid al-Fitr break.

In tandem with the adjustments to parking regulations, public transportation services will continue to operate throughout the holiday period. Public buses, including the Abu Dhabi Express and Abu Dhabi Link services, will maintain their regular schedules from 6 a.m. to 11 p.m. every day. This ensures that residents and visitors have reliable transportation options for commuting and leisure activities during the festive season.

Furthermore, one essential part of Abu Dhabi's public transportation system will continue to run over the holiday break: the Automated Rapid Transit (ART) service. The Wednesday through Sunday ART service offers seamless connectivity between the city's main locations every 60 minutes.

Specific timing has been outlined for the ART service to accommodate the holiday period. The first trip from Reem Mall will commence at 10 a.m., with subsequent trips departing at hourly intervals until 7 p.m. Similarly, the first trip from Marina Mall will begin at 10:50 a.m., with the final trip departing at 7:50 p.m. These timings ensure that commuters can rely on the ART service for efficient and timely travel between key locations in Abu Dhabi.

The modifications made to parking laws and transportation schedules for the Eid Al Fitr holiday period demonstrate Abu Dhabi's dedication to improving accessibility and convenience for both locals and tourists. To ensure a smooth travel experience and a fun-filled holiday for everyone, officials waive tolls, provide free public parking, and stick to regular public transportation schedules.
