A new visa application centre has been launched by VFS Global in Abu Dhabi, specifically located at The Mall-World Trade Centre on Khalifa Bin Zayed 1st Street. The inauguration ceremony took place on December 18, presided over by Soumya Zelmat, Consul of France in Abu Dhabi.
Facilitating France-UAE exchanges
Expressing the significance of the new centre, Soumya Zelmat highlighted its dedication to facilitating exchanges between France and the UAE. The centre is committed to providing efficient and transparent visa services for individuals across all seven emirates in the UAE.
Flexible application options
Applicants have the flexibility to apply remotely using the 'Visa at Your Doorstep' service or choose to visit the centre in person.
Growing Demand for France
Ms. Monaz Billimoria, Regional Head at VFS Global, emphasised the increasing demand for France as a destination, as evidenced by a 45% growth in France visa applications in the UAE from November 2022 to November 2023.
State-of-the-Art Facilities
The newly inaugurated centre boasts a spacious waiting area, advanced biometric facilities, and a dedicated space promoting France as a destination, offering crucial information to applicants.

Travellers visiting the centre can avail themselves of optional services, including a courier return service for processed passports at home, Prime Time for submissions outside business hours, visa assistance, and form filling by trained professionals.

For a more personalised experience, applicants can choose the Premium Lounge, where they receive end-to-end assistance throughout the visa application process in a plush ambience.
Note for Schengen Applicants
Applicants seeking visas for Schengen countries other than France in Abu Dhabi should continue to submit their documents at the Joint Visa Application Centre in the World Trade Centre Mall.
