UAE: Sheikh Hamdan Declares Hatta Festival an Annual Event

The Hatta Festival will now take place every year, according to a major declaration made by Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Crown Prince of Dubai and Chairman of the Executive Council of Dubai.

The Supreme Committee Overseeing Hatta Development and Brand Dubai are collaborating to organise the event, which aims to showcase the variety of experiences and attractions that make Hatta unique.

Exploring the Inaugural Hatta Festival

Sheikh Hamdan received an in-depth overview of the complete schedule of events and activities within the 2023 Hatta Festival during his visit, with the festival scheduled to continue until December 31. The inaugural edition aimed to emphasise Hatta's distinctive qualities, portraying it as an authentic travel destination featuring outstanding tourist attractions, natural marvels, cultural festivities, sports events, gastronomic experiences, and luxurious resorts.

Commitment to Regional Development

Expressing his commitment to the ongoing development of Hatta, Sheikh Hamdan emphasised the inspiration drawn from the leadership of Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai. He acknowledged Hatta's emergence as a model for economic development and youth empowerment, contributing significantly to the overall well-being of the region.

Sheikh Hamdan expressed his delight at seeing families actively participate and take in Hatta's distinctive winter atmosphere during the visit. Sheikh Hamdan gave orders to hold the Hatta Festival every year and provided all the resources required to increase the success of the first edition.

Sheikh Hamdan ventured into some of the region's renowned tourist spots during his visit, including the Heritage Village, Al Sharea neighbourhood, and Leem Park. This three-hectare park serves as the focal point of the festival, nestled amidst the picturesque mountains of Hatta.
