UAE: Indian businessman contributes Dh10 million to honor mothers campaign
An Indian philanthropist and businessman recently donated Dh10 million to the Moms' Endowment Fund, which was set up to celebrate moms all around the world.
The project was initiated by Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Ruler of Dubai and Vice President and Prime Minister of the UAE. This gift is in support of his efforts. A program that lets people give to education all across the globe in memory of their moms is called the Mother's Endowment Campaign.
Siddharth Balachandran, executive chairman and CEO of Buimerc Corporation, expressed his appreciation for the opportunity to contribute to such a meaningful cause. He emphasized the importance of extending aid to underprivileged communities globally while acknowledging the generosity of mothers. Balachandran also highlighted the significance of manifesting goodwill from both India and the UAE through charitable acts, reflecting the spirit of solidarity and compassion.
The Mother's Endowment campaign holds particular significance as millions worldwide face challenges accessing education and training. Through the endowment fund, the initiative aims to empower individuals in underprivileged communities, providing them with opportunities to improve their circumstances through education. This underscores the campaign's commitment to advancing societal well-being on a global scale by addressing educational disparities and fostering empowerment.
Campaigns like the Mothers' Endowment, spearheaded by Mohammed Din Rashid Al Maktoum Global Initiatives, reflect the United Arab Emirates' (UAE) commitment to helping underprivileged groups and people. Especially during the holy month of Ramadan, a time of giving and meditation, it aims to teach children to respect their parents and to be compassionate and kind to those in need. Advocating for unity and joint effort to tackle critical social concerns, the campaign further solidifies the UAE's humanitarian position internationally.
In addition to honoring mothers and promoting education, the campaign aims to advance the concept of endowments as sustainable tools for development. By facilitating ongoing charitable support, the initiative contributes to broader efforts to promote sustainable development worldwide. Through various channels, including online platforms, bank transfers, and SMS donations, the campaign welcomes contributions from both institutions and individuals, fostering collaborative efforts to support education and honor mothers worldwide.
