UAE condemns Israeli ministers racist statements in strong terms
The United Arab Emirates (UAE) has categorically condemned the radical sentiments expressed by Israeli Finance Minister Bezalel Smotrich and Israeli National Security Minister Itamar Ben Gvir.
Condemnation of Extremist Israeli Statements
The words, which call for the relocation of Palestinians from the Gaza Strip, the reoccupation of the land, and the development of settlements, were strongly condemned by the UAE.
Rejection of Offensive Rhetoric
The UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs has vehemently condemned these derogatory remarks, reiterating the country's resolve to oppose any actions and policies that contravene international legitimacy resolutions. These provocative remarks are seen as directly endangering global peace in addition to endangering regional stability.
Call for Urgent Humanitarian Ceasefire
In response to the escalating tensions, the UAE has called for an immediate humanitarian ceasefire. This urgent plea aims to halt the ongoing bloodshed and create a conducive environment for the safe and unimpeded delivery of relief and humanitarian aid to the Gaza Strip. The focus of these efforts is particularly directed towards the most vulnerable groups, including the sick, children, the elderly, and women.
Emphasis on UN Security Council Resolutions
Underscoring the importance of international resolutions, the UAE has stressed the urgent implementation of Security Council Resolutions 2712 (2023) and 2720 (2023). These resolutions play a pivotal role in shaping a path towards stability and peace in the region.
Global Call for Ceasefire and Lasting Peace
In addition to the current issues, the UAE has urged cooperation among nations in the pursuit of an expedient cessation of hostilities. It is believed that in order to stop more deaths and keep tensions in the occupied Palestinian areas from rising, action as a group is necessary. Preventing new levels of violence, tension, and instability in the region is the overarching objective of advancing just and complete peace.
