The affected area encompasses the square located between Al Qarayen 1, 3, 4, and 5, with the closure scheduled to take place from Friday, January 26, to Sunday, January 28. This closure is essential to facilitate maintenance work and elevate the overall efficiency of the road infrastructure in that specific region.

The authority emphasizes the significance of this closure, emphasizing that it is undertaken for maintenance purposes and aims to enhance the functionality of the road. To provide visual clarity, a map has been provided to indicate the specific area affected by the closure, aiding motorists in adjusting their routes accordingly.

In addition to the roundabout closure, the Sharjah RTA had previously announced the temporary shutdown of the street leading to the University City Hall. This street closure is effective from Tuesday, January 23, until Wednesday, February 21. The decision to close this thoroughfare is aligned with the preparatory works for the upcoming Sharjah Lights Festival, as well as during the festival itself.

Motorists are strongly advised to seek alternative routes during these specified periods and to diligently adhere to traffic regulations and directional signs. The authority underscores the importance of anticipating potential traffic congestion and taking necessary precautionary measures to avoid unnecessary delays. These proactive measures are implemented with the overarching goal of ensuring the safety of both motorists and pedestrians while concurrently facilitating the timely completion of maintenance tasks and festival-related preparations.

By disseminating this information and encouraging motorists to plan ahead, the Sharjah Roads and Transport Authority aims to foster a smoother traffic flow, reduce disruptions, and create a safer environment for all road users during the stipulated closure periods.
