These measures, part of RTA's Quick Traffic Improvements Plan, are aimed at implementing 45 traffic solutions across Dubai in 2023–2024.

Abdulla Yousef Al Ali, CEO of Traffic and Roads Agency at RTA, emphasized the commitment to executing leaders' directives and accommodating demographic and urban expansion. The focus is on continuous infrastructure advancements, expanding road network capacity, and aligning with Dubai's sustainable growth for the well-being of the population.

There has been a marked improvement in outcomes since the changes were implemented in 2023. An excellent illustration is the upgrade of the free right exit from Al Asayel Street to Financial Center Street, which doubled capacity and cut travel time. Significant reductions in travel time were seen with the implementation of a free departure from Al-Saba Street towards Garn Al Sabkha Street and major upgrades to Al Fay Street, proving the efficiency of the measures employed.

Looking ahead, the RTA plans to continue development throughout 2024, focusing on executing multiple projects across 31 sites, including prominent areas like Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Road, Al Awir Street, Abu Baker Al Siddique Street, Al Rebat Street, Al Khail Road, and Al Meydan Street.

Other noteworthy traffic solutions implemented in 2023 include measures at the intersection of Umm Suqeim Street and Al-Asayel Street, with expanded exits and dedicated U-turns, contributing to a substantial reduction in travel time. Widening the right-hand exit from Al Rebat Street to the Business Bay Crossing and upgrading the exit on Emirates Road towards the Maliha Street intersection are additional initiatives that have significantly improved traffic circulation and safety standards in the respective areas.

Overall, these ongoing efforts align with RTA's vision to enhance traffic flow, reduce congestion, and create a safer and more efficient transportation system in Dubai.
