Abu Dhabi declares its achievement of a 42% success rate in IVF

In 2023, the Department of Health in Abu Dhabi disclosed that specialized health facilities in the emirate recorded over 30,000 births, with 94% resulting from natural pregnancies and births, while 6% involved pregnancies and births facilitated by assisted reproductive techniques available in the region.

Abu Dhabi's healthcare system comprises over 2,500 health professionals specializing in obstetrics and gynecology services. Among them are 642 specialists and consultants, 383 midwives, and 39 resident assistants. These experts cover various specializations such as maternal-fetal medicine, reproductive medicine and infertility, anesthesia, critical care, radiology and ultrasonography, and embryology.

The success rate of artificial insemination operations in Abu Dhabi soared to 42%, ranking among the highest globally. In 2022, more than 4,800 couples underwent artificial insemination and other assisted reproductive services. The emirate's specialized health facilities offer a range of assisted reproductive services, including egg storage, fertilization, and implantation. Abu Dhabi has emerged as a leading destination for assisted reproduction services in the region, boasting 12 licensed facilities providing such services.
