Dubai Unveils Luxury Residential Project with Lake, Zipline, and Equestrian Sports
Construction has commenced on Discovery Dunes, a $1-billion ultra-luxury residential project in Dubai South, covering 27 million square feet.
Developed by Discovery Land Company Middle East, the project will consist of 340 homes and land plots, featuring amenities like equestrian sports, archery, and a private golf course designed by renowned architect Tom Fazio. The member-only residence is set to be handed over in 2024, with the golf course completion scheduled for the fourth quarter of 2025. The project aims to cater to families with a curated outdoor pursuits program, offering activities such as zip-lining, lake swimming, and more.
The market for prime offerings in Dubai remains robust, with strong regional and international demand for primary and secondary homes. Dubai continues to be a sought-after location for potential buyers globally, ranking in the top three in Knight Frank’s Global Residential Cities Index.

Discovery Land Company Middle East's partnership with Ora Developers for this project is considered a significant milestone, with the endeavor aimed at creating exceptional communities. Michael Meldman, the founder and chairman of Discovery, highlighted that the project will offer family-focused amenities, a world-class golf course, an organic farm providing farm-to-table dining experiences, racket facilities, an equestrian center, and more.
However, the project aims to deliver a unique living experience that goes beyond the conventional concept of a residential community, embracing a holistic lifestyle approach.
