UAE introduces Latifa City, a district named after Sheikh Mohammed mother
The mother of Dubai's ruler, Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan, has been honored with the name of a newly approved residential neighborhood for Emiratis. Consistent with the distribution of 3,500 land plots and 2,300 move-in-ready dwellings valued at Dh5.5 billion, exclusively for citizens, this declaration is made.
Dubai's Homage to Sheikha Latifa
In a heartfelt tribute, Dubai has dedicated a new residential area for Emiratis to the mother of its ruler, naming it Sheikha Latifa bint Hamdan bin Zayed Al Nahyan. This gesture accompanies the allocation of Dh5.5 billion worth of 3,500 plots and 2,300 ready-to-move-in houses exclusively for citizens.
Honoring a Maternal Legacy
Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Vice-President and Prime Minister of the UAE and Ruler of Dubai, shares a profound connection with his mother. In his book 'My Story,' he extensively acknowledges her humanitarian contributions.
Government Prioritizes Citizens
As part of the 2024 projects approved under the Dubai Social Agenda 33, Sheikh Mohammed underscores the foundational role of citizens, their families, and social stability in government plans. He emphasizes the family as the bedrock of the nation, crucial to all development initiatives, with the overarching objective of enhancing citizens' lives for a brighter future.
Generous Allotments for Citizens
The designated housing plots, spread across 40 million square feet, will be distributed in February to eligible citizens from Dubai. Among these, 2,700 plots are situated in Latifa City, and 800 are in the Al Yalayis 5 area. Additionally, 2,300 new houses for citizens will grace locations such as Al Khawaneej 2, Al Aweer, Wadi Al Amardi, and Hatta.
Dubai Social Agenda 33
Earlier this month, Sheikh Mohammed inaugurated the Dh208-billion Dubai Social Agenda program, envisioning the doubling of Emirati families in the emirate within a decade. This comprehensive initiative reflects the leadership's commitment to prioritizing citizens, fostering family stability, and ensuring social development as integral components of Dubai's future vision.
