UAE weather: Red alert for fog issued; day to be partly overcast

On Thursday morning, a dense layer of fog covered areas of the UAE, forcing the National Centre of Meteorology to issue a red alert.

The Nahil was the most impacted location, and the quality of the fog was mostly seen in the Al Ain district of Abu Dhabi. For further regions in the area, a yellow alert was issued.

Drivers in the area are reminded to drive carefully due to the low visibility.

Today's weather is predicted to be fair to partly cloudy throughout the UAE.

The forecast calls for low to moderate winds that can be brisk at times, with the night continuing to be muggy.

The maximum temperature in Abu Dhabi will be 46 degrees Celsius, and in Dubai it will be 40 degrees Celsius.
