The UAE declares Eid Al Fitr holidays beginning on Thursday
Dubai: The Ministry of Human Resources and Emiratization (MoHRE) declared Ramadan 29-Shawwal 3 1444 to be a paid vacation in honour of Eid Al Fitr for all employees working in the private sector throughout the UAE.
The 29th day of Ramadan, as determined by the Gregorian calendar, will occur on Thursday, April 20. Holidays for Eid will therefore start on Thursday.
This is consistent with the UAE Cabinet's determination to give the public and private sectors equal access to official public holidays, according to MoHRE.
