Abu Dhabi announces free parking and no tolls for the Islamic New Year

Throughout the holiday, Customer Happiness Centres across the emirate will be closed.

The Department of Municipalities' Abu Dhabi Integrated Transport Centre stated on Wednesday that there would be no tolls or parking fees on July 21 (Friday), the Islamic New Year.

From 7:59 a.m. on Friday, July 21, 2023, until 7:59 a.m. on Saturday, July 22, 2023, MAWAQiF surface parking costs will be waived. Additionally, parking taxes at the Musaffah M-18 truck parking lot will be waived throughout the vacation, according to an announcement from Abu Dhabi's Integrated Transport Centre of the Department of Municipalities and Transport.

The ITC advised motorists to park legally in the allotted places and to avoid using domestic parking spaces between the hours of 9 p.m. and 8 a.m. The Darb toll gate system will also be free on Friday, according to the ITC.

Public bus services, meanwhile, will operate on a Friday and holiday timetable. Throughout the emirate, the Customers' Happiness Centres will be closed throughout the holidays.
