Why kill the chatbots when you can use them?

Detractors of AI today frequently exaggerate the rate of technical advancement that sophisticated economies have already experienced.

With low-skill, medium-skill, and high-skill jobs making up, respectively, 31%, 38%, and 30% of all hours worked in the US in 1970, employment was essentially evenly distributed across occupations. The letter makes the case that governments should intervene and implement a moratorium if a pause "cannot be enacted promptly." Good luck convincing China to agree to that. Of course, there are instances when governments would prefer to halt the advancement of a technology.This, however, is not one of them. Regulation should concentrate on how AI is applied rather than whether it can develop further. The best way to control the technology will be more obvious as it advances. Does AI have the potential to "wipe out" humanity? I guess a tiny one. Yet, generative AI is not the first technology to suggest such risk. If the doomsayers are correct about anything, it is that generative AI has the potential to have a significant economic impact, just like electricity and the steam engine did before it. With everything that means for employees, customers, and society at large, I wouldn't be surprised if AI someday became as significant as the smartphone or the web browser.as well as current business models. Stopping the clock is not the appropriate answer to economic turmoil. Instead, authorities ought to concentrate on figuring out how to boost economic participation. Can income subsidies be used more effectively to increase the financial appeal of employment for those without college degrees? Can community colleges and training programmes equip workers with the knowledge and abilities necessary to use AI to boost their own productivity? What laws and organisations prevent more people from participating in the economy?
